How to play/win: Be the first player to get rid of all your cards by taking it in turns to place down matching sides of your cards to cards on the table, already played.
To start: shuffle the cards and deal them out: 5 cards each if you’re playing 3 or more; 10 cards each if there are only 2 players
Put the rest of the cards face down in a pile within reach. Turn over the top card and place it face up in the middle of the playing surface: this is the starting card. The game begins with the youngest player and moves clockwise.
Take turns placing a card down to match a side (or more) of your card to an available side (or more) of another card(s) already on the table. If there is a space where a card would touch two cards, both those connections must match to be able to put that card down there.
There are event cards that players can use to try to stop other players in their tracks: some are category specific and have to be matched to that category; others are neutral and can be used in any category, except for a blank side.
A player must play a card if they can put one down. Otherwise they pick up a card from the central, face down pile of cards. If they still can’t put a card down, then they miss a go. I
If a player has one card left, they must shout ‘Hero’ before someone else notices and shouts ‘Hero’ before them. If that happens, the player with one card has to pick up another card!
