Terry Pratchett: A Celebration

 

Mansfield Library in Nottinghamshire will be hosting a celebration event for all things Terry Pratchett and to mark the much anticipated release of his final novel, The Shepherd’s Crown.

As part of the days event, Imagination Gaming will be showcasing a range of fantastical games and inviting all-comers to get involved and play along. It’s FREE – just drop in!

In addition there will be a range of things to see and do, such as:

• Make your very own Nac Mac Feegle with artist Jessica Kemp
• The Orangutan Foundation  – with a talk from 2-3pm
• Author JG Parker talking about Sir Terry’s influence 12noon-1pm
• Pratchett quiz – with prizes of Discworld Stamps!
• Books to borrow!

There will also be ‘Building Fictional Worlds‘ – a creative writing workshop by Ian C. Douglas. This must be booked with the library in advance at a cost of £6.00 and runs from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
